On a beautiful Monday evening, May 19, 2025, I was blessed with an opportunity to speak with a women's group at a somewhat local church. The topic, "Living In The Authenticity Of Our Faith", seemed to land so warmly, as the entire group was so attentive. It was a beautiful experience. In reflecting, I am reminded that it (the speech) also served as a powerful reminder for me. So, moving in obedience in the use of this platform, I'm sharing an excerpt of the speech with you. I pray that it encourages and blesses you in some way...

This Cherry girl, whose seeding comes from Windsor, NC, has some nuggets for each woman here tonight. I pray that my broken, bruised, and healing spirit connects to yours, authentically, in these heartfelt nuggets. May they ‘drop’ deeply in your heart, mind, and soul, as you listen. Here we go...
We have never been, nor will we ever be, perfect. “Holier than thou” is a skewed cultural phrase only. We are REAL people with REAL problems!
God uses imperfect people—He has to. Be open.
Judgment is really “selective outrage.” Select extending a little grace instead.
It is our responsibility to grow our faith. We can’t rely on others to do it for us.
We have to commit to helping, encouraging, and inspiring others in some way.
Math is real. Life is a given. Things/ people will be subtracted. We can only do something with what we have left. Make the best use of it and be thankful.
Really believe that God loves us ALL, and “function” in that capacity daily.
Share your testimony—not to embarrass yourself—to help someone else and to heal you. We can’t hoard remedies—we are all “sick” in some way.
The ‘Boomerang’ theory is an authentic truth! We all veer in our faith at times; we question God; we have to be reminded to trust Him (not people). It’s okay to get back to the beauty, power, and divinity of our faith in an amazing God who is, without any doubt, always there!
Determine what your purpose is for God’s kingdom and do it! Don’t let anyone sway you when you know. This quote by Amy Krouse Rosenthal seemed to sync with me, of late: “Pay attention to what you pay attention to.” Block out the noise and move in obedience to the Holy Spirit. We are ALL here to serve! Remember, Philippians 1:6 ~ being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Do at least one inspiring thing that you’re proud of each day. Audrey Hepburn once said, “I believe, every day, you should have at least one exquisite moment.” Do it according to your faith in, and your love for—God, the Father, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What we do for God is never self-serving.
Just be You—The Real You; The Improving You; The Growing You! I have to self-assess on a consistent basis and take accountability for the past and day-to-day happenings of my life BUT not live in the valley of it.
Remember that ALL of God's word is true. In that, be reminded of Ephesians 2:10…For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. He has gone before us, so let's do it!
And in Hebrews 6:10, God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. He has gone before us, so let us help others!
Peace & Blessings,
Lisa C-S
Continue to let God use you to be a blessing for many.
Wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing with us❤️
