Life would have it that we, sometimes, deal with “The Glass House’rs.” You know?? The ones who are low on their own self-improvement fuel, but who seem to somehow have enough energy left to pump us with low-grade, unsettling peace octane, attempting to make us feel like we’re not good enough. It doesn’t have to be verbal, as the non-verbal can be just as effective…
Guess what? That foul tank does run out of fuel! When it does, be thankful for the pivotal turnaround moment. Be grateful for the blessing and the existence of that bright space when we realize that God always thought we were good enough. Yes, that specific moment of revelation and the future moments serve up, not ill-feeling, spirit-tarnishing or ‘less-than’ emotional fumes, but the inhalation of the divine presence of Grace! It is absolutely beautiful.
God, Thank You for allowing me to pay attention. Thank You for giving me another opportunity do so. I’m so grateful to be good enough! I thank You for each ‘good enough’ experience! Thank You for the realization that I am not functioning, based on who the Glass House’rs say/think I am, but I am, undoubtedly and more importantly, who You made me–Your child, who is good enough. In Jesus name, Amen.
