What's Perking Today...

Many years ago, God used my friend, affectionately known as , "T", to deliver a message. She squared her shoulders, as she normally does in authority (lol), and said something like, "Look, you gotta be still. Be still and know..." It has been confirmed through our many conversations that she heard God clearly because that's exactly what I needed to do...

This morning, I'm thinking of the myriad of things circling in life right now. As water started to well up in my eyes and worry started to wallop my spirit, I thought, Just be still and know. Not referencing physical stillness, but a mental, emotional, and spiritual stillness---peace. Yes, settling my heart, mind, and spirit, knowing to trust God in it all! He's got it, always had it, and will always have it--- everything that we try to control and carry. For me, it's getting still and surrendering in this moment. Surrender meaning not giving up but giving in---to the power of God to handle it. Like, in this grief, be still. In worry, be still. In anxiety, be still. In the what-ifs, be still. In it all, get still to be still and know... God is sovereign. God is the Almighty. He is exalted on high. He is in control of it all---everything. He will answer, respond, and reveal in His perfect timing.

Lord, help us to trust you in all that's heavy in our heart; that's weighting our spirit. Help us to be reminded through your Word and through your messengers who speak in obedience to your will, to know that it is in the stillness of mind, heart, and spirit that we let go of worry, anxiety, and fear. It is in that stillness that we think of and read Psalm 46:10, "He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” I pray for peace in understanding that your will, not ours, reigns supreme. Lord, thank You for hearing this prayer. Thank You for who You are, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Whew, back to coffee...☕️

Peace & Blessings,

Lisa C-S

God is so good, Ps. 46:10, was one of my devotional scriptures this morning. I love when God sends confirmations. This is exactly what I needed. I thank God for the message and I thank God for the messenger.❤️
