What's Perking Today...

Whew..."spiritual fireworks" is perculating just like this freshly brewed cup of Ethiopian coffee! Yes, spiritual. Those highly colorful, anxiety-laced, and "spirited" conversations, events/incidents, reflections, and revelations...the things that don't land softly at all but spark needed change. They ignite your mind to think differently; your heart to feel differently; your soul to seek God more because of it. The beauty, the wow, and the "ahhhh" is not in the moment that the flares start or during the emotionally lit process, it's what we do on the other side of them that matters; that makes us grow; that realigns; that resets peace.

So today, I'm reminded to welcome those fireworks. Although not seemingly necessary when they occur, they are necessary to my spiritual well-being. My assignment is to pray, process, trust, wait, and move on in faith. I'm inviting you, with me, to tap into our spiritual fireworks and see the "good" and the growth that God is attempting to spark in our lives. I'm reflecting this morning, and I am grateful to God to be able to celebrate Life---the 4th of July and each day of every month! Because as a beautiful and spiritually rich brother to my soul said last evening, "Today could be the last tomorrow you ever have." ~ George Michael H 🙏🏽❤️
