Saved On Saturday!

For some, Saturday is a day to sleep in, house clean, cut the grass, work in the yard, clean out the garage or storage shed; a day to run around town or the city, taking care of all of the errands you didn’t get to run during the week. It’s a day to do one of the things that I enjoy best…shop! 🙂 It’s a day in which we watch our favorite DVR’d TV shows and/or catch the latest movie at the matinée, go to a concert or take in a wonderful stage play. It’s a day that we attend a church meeting, a Greek affiliated function or some other organized meeting. Let’s not forget the weddings, cookouts, parties, family functions and like today for me, a high school graduation. It’s a day of travel, by car, plane, train or bus. So much to do! So much that can be done on this day after the weekend kicked off around 6 p.m. on Friday.

As we maneuver and matriculate through the day, riding around in our vehicles to and fro, cleaning or doing any of the aforementioned things, remember one of the absolute best things about this day…I’m Saved On Saturday! Take a moment to thank God that you’re saved. Thank Him for the sacrifice to ensure that we can be saved, by Grace! It is a refreshing feeling. It is a blessing! It’s more important than anything about this SaturDAY.

Reflecting on who I am and all that I need to do to make me a better me, what I aspire to be, and in spite of what may have been stressful, mind-boggling or even disheartening and disappointing about the week, I’m so grateful to declare that I’m “Saved On Saturday!” Aren’t you?? 🙂

Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Peace & Blessings,

Lisa B
